Accessibility statement for lenorecare.co.uk
Lenore Care Ltd wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people with disabilities, older people, and relatives and carers who may be reading while worried or short of time. This statement explains how accessible the site is, what we know still needs work, and how to ask for help.
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We build and check our pages ourselves, using automated testing, keyboard-only testing and manual review. We have not yet had the site independently audited, so we do not claim full conformance.
We have taken these steps:
- Text, buttons and links are designed to have enough colour contrast.
- Pages use a clear heading structure and landmarks, so screen reader users can move around easily.
- Images have text descriptions where they carry meaning.
- You can use the site with a keyboard alone, and the controls show where you are.
- Forms have clear labels and error messages, and we ask only for the details we need.
- Text can be enlarged in your browser without losing content.
- Photo galleries and menus can be used without a mouse.
What you can do to make the site easier to use
Your browser and device have settings for text size, contrast, colour, zoom and screen readers. AbilityNet’s “My Computer My Way” explains how to use them.
Known issues
We are working on the following:
- Some documents, such as brochures and menus, may be in PDF format and may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We can provide the information in another format (see below).
- Some content comes from other services, such as maps, social media and review sites. We don’t control their accessibility.
- Older pages which are in the process of being updated.
